EpiBrain Journal Club: Brain Imaging Applications in
Epidemiological Studies of Older adults
The Epidemiology of Brain Resilience in Aging (e-BRAIN) program and the Claude D. Pepper Center at the University of Pittsburgh have established a new, multidisciplinary Journal Club to explore the application of neuroimaging methods in the context of aging and population studies with a specific focus on advances in MRI and their neuroanatomical correlates in the aging brain. The Journal Club draws on expertise in Epidemiology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Rehabilitation Sciences, Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience.
Topics Include: Volumetric MRI, Diffusion Tensor Imaging, Recent Advances in High Field MRI, Iron Deposition
Meeting Time: 3rd Monday of each month. 8:30-9:30, Parren Hall Room 109

The MRI Methodologies Meeting
The goal of the meeting is to build a collaborative environment in MR Research and to provide networking opportunities between faculty, staff and students. Meetings will be held once a month on the first Tuesday of the month from noon to 1:30 in the large conference room in Sterling Plaza (Room # 244). The meeting will consist of a “Brown-Bag lunch” beginning at noon followed by a presentation beginning at 12:30. All are welcome to join us. To join the mailing list to be informed of future meetings please email Erica Tamburo.
